2013 Owensboro Dragon Boat Festival
The 3rd annual Owensboro Dragon Boat Festival is taking over English Park again near downtown Owensboro. With double the participation in 2012, we anticipate a jam packed park on Saturday, August 24, 2013 with thousands of participants and spectators enjoying the energetic atmosphere of the dragon boat racing. Teams tailgating in decorated campsites all over the park, great cultural entertainment and live music on the stage, and intense competition on the Ohio River as teams paddle their arms off trying to beat the clock are all part of the 'fun' for each team member. Interactive activities and games for kids throughout the day along with some great food while watching the competition ensure that family and friends will have a great time.
